Talking Tech: Continuous Compliance for a Hybrid/Remote Workforce
At the height of the pandemic in 2020, the Federal Employee Viewpoint Survey found that almost half of federal employees worked remotely. By the end of 2022, the same survey found that 14% of employees were working remotely and another 25% were teleworking at least three days a week.
The sudden exodus from government office buildings shone a bright light on the significant challenges it posed to security compliance operations – a challenge that continues today. Employees’ home workstations may not always be connected to the organization’s network and users may be connected through a slow VPN, which presents unique challenges for maintaining a compliant environment. Traditional centralized compliance management approaches utilizing a “jobs” concept of operations are no longer sufficient in addressing these challenges.
Join us as thought leaders from government and industry discuss technology approaches for organizations to address these remote workforce challenges and achieve policy compliance with the STIG (Security Technical Implementation Guide) and CIS (Center for Information Security) standards, as well as maintain remote device compliance by utilizing scheduled operations and minimum resources.
